Moodle as the name suggests is highly modular in nature and the functionality can be extended to all areas using plugins. Moodle plugin database has got a wide variety of more than 50 different types of plugin types which can be utilized to cover the specific requirements of different sectors.
During this year’s GSoC program, Mentor-David Mudrak and Student-Alexandru Elisei came up with a proposal to make developing plugins a much easier task. After finishing the GSoC 2016 project, they came up with a brand new Moodle plugin which can be used by developers to quickly generate code skeleton for a new Moodle plugin.
You can download your copy of the plugin from the Moodle plugins database here. The plugin provides both web and command line interface. The plugin is meant to be used by developers only and is not meant for Moodle teachers.
Previously I had covered about the working of the Moodle Plugin skeleton generator plugin here which can be referred to know about the working of this plugin.
If you are a Moodle developer then this plugin can help you save a lot of time by generating the skeleton of the appropriate plugin for you.
