Moodle User’s Association (MUA) is the community arm of Moodle Project which helps to drive the Moodle project. Moodle User’s Association members works twice per year through a cycle of project proposal development and project voting in three phases.
In the first few project cycles, Moodle User’s Association has successfully delivered Recycle Bin and improved Course Overview Blocks in Moodle core. For the first project development cycle of year 2017 during Jan – June 2017, MUA has selected the “Expanded Question Bank Management/Categorization” as the project to go ahead with development.
Expanded Question Bank Management/Categorization Project:
The Expanded Question Bank Management/Categorization project will improve the overall Question bank management. The project will allow the teachers to add new labels to questions for creating question sets out of different categories. It will also help the use of questions in ‘random question set’ question types instead of ‘random question from category’.
Complete requirements for the Expanded Question bank management/categorization project are documented here. The project is proposed by Trevor Jones from University of Alberta. Trevor has also contributed plugins into the Moodle plugins directory like Course overview lite & category Administrator.
Moodle User’s Association is contributing superbly and making Moodle into the next generation learning management system. If you wish to improve any new functionality in Moodle or improve any existing feature, you can also propose the same in the MUA project proposal cycle. The project proposals for the July-Dec 2017 project development cycle are closing by 31st August 2017.
You need to be a MUA member to propose a new project. If you are still not a member, then you can become one through this link.
